On second thought…not *exactly*…
It is a weird time to be one of the vocal people to have banned Stoneforge Mystic and Jace the Mind Sculptor and to yet watch it stay as one of the top dogs for the new metagame. Important proponents like Brian Kibler and Mike Flores have examined why CawBlade refuses to die and what makes a good deck “good” (another article by Paulo Vitor on “good decks” is also a good reference point as well).
We all know what a huge impact Xyz Monsters made to the Yugioh environment with the release of Generation Force – we also all know as more Xyz Monsters (and related cards) are released, the better they will be. As mentioned in the previous article, I’d like to cover the 2nd important ruling made by the judges at the 2011 World Championships (WCS) and is to do with Xyz Material. As most of you are currently familiarizing yourselves with Xyz Summon, there has been a lot of confusion on how Xyz Material works with cards like Reborn Tengu and Sangan. Fortunately, Konami made an update to the official rule book in line with the OCG format so Xyz Materials are no longer treated as cards on the field or when they are sent to the grave.
