Dawn of the Xyz!!!

xyz

As the rest of the world is busy preparing for the World Championships, a new card type just got released yesterday in a structure deck called the Dawn of the Xyz! – the main monster theme from the latest Yugioh anime Zexal. There seems to be a lot of confusion around this new card theme so let’s go over it together because after reading this, you will notice that it’s actually very good.

Structure Deck Review: Lost Sanctuary

lostsanctury

Roughly four weeks ago we received our newest structure deck – Lost Sanctuary. I have been busy testing this deck and I can definitely say the quality of structure decks have been improving each time they release a new one – and this is one great deck where you can just simply buy three, stick it together and have a deck that is already at a high standard.

Basic Staples of Yugioh

Yugioh Staples

Before I start, let me explain what “staple” means. Staple is a term commonly used to describe cards which are “a must have” in almost any type of decks, unless you have very good reason not to use them. The term “staple” does have a very broad definition but every time I go to Battlecraft, I often see questionable moments where some people don’t have certain cards in their deck (even though they have a copy of it in their spare cards) for the weirdest reasons – which unfortunately makes no sense, and frankly, are preventing them from winning games which they should be winning.

Onward Avian Soldiers, as marching onto banning

Jace_Stoneforge_Banned

We stand on the precipice of the format degenerating into nothing but Caw-Blade mirrors, for those lucky enough to own a set of the innocuous Worldwake rares (funny how that turned out huh?? A Stoneforge deck that turned out to be a Jace deck…). But regardless of all this flak surrounding the format, as many have said it has truly become a mirror world in the winners’ bracket.

New Phyrexia Event Decks Released!

EventDecks

The New Phyrexia Event Decks will be available for sale in English, French, German, Italian, and Japanese on June 10, 2011 for $29.90 (Rot from within) and $49.90 (War of Attrition). Unlike Intro Packs, which are for fairly new players, these are designed to let you enter the world of tournament play knowing you’ve got a powerful deck that will let you be immediately competitive.

Confessions of a Token Collector

I have a little bit of a confession to make. Well, it’s not so much a confession as an admission. An admission of a problem. Well, not so much a problem as an addiction. Which is in itself a problem, so I guess ultimately I’m admitting that I have a problem. And so the cycle continues.

Yugioh “Duelist Pack: Crow” Released!

Dualist_Pack_Crow

Everybody’s heard about Blackwing monsters, because they’re one of the hottest Decks to come out in years!

Blackwings first showed up on the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s TV show. They’re Crow’s favorite monsters. And ever since then, Duelists like you have been using Blackwings to win lots of Duels, including Championship tournament events!

Of War, Peace and Battered skulls

Cawblade

As I begin writing this, I am currently preparing and brainstorming what I can run for my next FNM in order to get what little practice I can get in while being an Electrical Engineering student (yeah, I’m a whiner). Batterskull and Sword of War and Peace are sure to leave their drastic effects on the format (or to borrow the words of another writer…”leave a crater sized impact”).

Extreme Victories Released

A High-Tech War over Synchro Monsters!

For 3 years, Synchro Monsters have dominated the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Now they’ve reached their ultimate evolution. But something – or someone – has been waiting for them. It’s time for a showdown between the ultimate Synchro Monsters and the ultimate Synchro-Destroyers!

Tech Genus – The Top Tech!

Extreme Victory takes Synchro Monsters to their ultimate extreme, with the new T.G. (Tech Genus) monsters.  T.G. Decks are specially designed to crank out Synchro Monsters at a fast and furious pace. And they can do it over and over and over again.

T.G. Decks have super flexibility. When most T.G. monsters get destroyed, they let you add another T.G. monster to your hand, or Special Summon one from the Graveyard. This lets you upgrade your field set-up every turn, by getting exactly the monsters you need to do the Synchro Summons you want.
