Melbourne Grand Prix Trial!

Grand Prix Melbourne is the second of the 2012 APAC Grand Prix and Australia’s ‘Sporting Capital’ is set to put on a show. After last year’s visit to the Constructed Realm, Limited roars back Down Under with Innistrad Sealed and Booster Draft. With a $30,000 purse and four Pro Tour invites up for grabs at the Grand Prix you can be sure that competition will be fierce and with the best judges around keeping it fair, it’s going to be a fun time to be playing Magic. To ensure that you have the best chance of getting to day 2 of this premier event, we are running a GP trial at Battlecraft Games and the Trial winner  will be awarded 3 byes in the Melbourne Grand Prix 2012.

There will be 24 boosters of the brand new January release boosters! Kind of exciting hey! And the more you play, the more chances you have of winning this fabulous prize.

So how does it work?

  • You can play each day that we are running the League
  • There are 3 days each week to play (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday) starting at 11am each of those days
  • Cost is $6 for each tournament and each player of that day will receive a booster at the end of each days play.
  • You will earn points for each day that you play
  • The more days you play, the more points you earn
  • The higher you place each day, the more points you win
  • Advanced format decks
At the end we will tally all points earned over the League, and the winner will be announced on the 25 January 2012.

It’s been a few months since Structure Deck: Lost Sanctuary was released and as all duelists know, Fairies are strong. Being proven with a solid track record by winning local tournaments to the 2010 World Championships, it is reasonable to expect that every time you duel, there’s pretty good chance that you would run into a Fairy deck of some sort.

I have been busy testing this deck and I can definitely say the quality of structure decks have been improving each time they release a new one – and this is one great deck where you can just simply buy three, stick it together and have a deck that is already at a high standard.
